The owner Jonathan bird, a passionate supporter of charities with their ‘green’ package and die-hard Star Trek fan, had worked tirelessly throughout the challenges of the pandemic to help the local community and their loyal customer base.
As an already successful marketeer and business owner, Jon engaged with me to develop strategies that would support his ambitious growth plans for the business and act as a sounding board and mentor.
Part of this strategy review identified that the business was in need of a robust recruitment process. Together we developed a system, and I trained the staff how they could use this to give a more consistent approach to bringing high quality staff on board.
For the business to achieve the growth plans and vision for the future, it was vital for Jon to focus on client acquisition and leave the daily operational tasks and client delivery to rest of the team. In order for this to happen, I helped to recruit a Chief Operations Officer into the company.
As the business and staff numbers have expanded, I now also work with his management team, many of whom are new to managing and recruiting staff, helping them with the transition and developing their skills.
Jon and I meet regularly to monitor and review progress across the whole business. I attend and present at all management and team conferences and consider myself part of Delivered Social team and enjoy sharing in their success.
